TRACKING PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATIONS THROUGH THE UNITED STATES SENATE CONFIRMATION PROCESS

The "Advice and Consent" process as set out in the United States Constitution begins when the President of the United States officially nominates a candidate to an office and sends the nomination to the Senate for confirmation.  The appointment is complete when the candidate is sworn into office.

The general "Advice and Consent" process from start to finish is usually complex, largely done in the public eye subject to press issues and often, outrageously complex political pressures - this, after all - is about the functioning of the Presidency of the United States.  It has been a similar battle through all of time with governments and appointments.

Subscribers and followers of this Presidential-Appointments.org service are welcome to our help and support any time on any subject in this process.  This is all part of the governing process, and as a citizen driven project, our concern is to help you through its intricacies in all ways possible.

The Google Search box below this paragraph searches the entire site -- it is a convenient way to check the status of a nominee you may wish to study - it is a useful device on this large site!

Various Ways to Approach a Confirmation Search

You have the name of a candidate for a Presidential appointment - that's all?

1.  Check the White House list of nominations here(This is an alpha list - about 30 days behind.)

2.  No luck?  Maybe it is in the Senate committee process.  Check here by search in upper right hand corner search box.  (Be careful to enter as much information as you have - put inside quotes.

3.  No luck?  Look through White House announcements here.  (There are many announcements - work your way back through the dates.  Usually these are not alpha listings.)

4.  No luck?  The timing of White House nominations is based on a long vetting process, the busyness of the White House daily agenda, and sometimes working through the politics of either the person or the appointment.  You might consider calling the person if you have that sort of communication available to you with that potential candidate.

If you need help of any sort in this search, or want us to take a look for information for you, send an e-mail to Director@Presidential-Appointments.org, or call 617 504 3699.
