   Appointments are serious business:  In the years of consulting and studying executive appointments I have become respectful of how important those jobs are -  they represent the feelings and policy of the President - and that tells us what the man is about.  Most applicants are not really very able to hang in for the entire appointment process, and that is important to consider at the beginning
