These are nominations of the President of the United States which have been wihdrawn from consideration for appointment before being confirmed before United States Senate Committees. This listing does NOT include appointments not requiring Senate confirmations. Please refer to the column to the right on this page for our suggestions about how to use it effectively.

The official listing of Withdrawn Civilian Nominations of the President before Committees of the United States Senate is prepared and maintained by the Senate itself. The List is divided first by Committees of the Senate, with the most recent confirmations being near the top of the listing. A date of the confirmation is related to each listing. Search Suggestions for this List: The Senate list is very large. We suggestion you keep the search simple, starting with last names or one key name from the position in question. A last name of a nominee is likely to be more helpful in a search because many appointments have similar titles. Use the Find or Search function on your browser for starters - it is probably you best bet for a good search result |

Updates: The Senate list is updated by the United States Senate. Our experience is that it is generally current - but there is a time between a nomination announcement at the White House and the name appearing on the Senate list. Obviously a certain amount of time is required to get through the transfer and posting paperwork. We suggest you refer to the following pages on this site if you do not find the information you are checking. Check the Page of Nominee Resumes - this is a list of resumes provided by the White House and maintained on this site. Check the Tracking Presidential Nominations page on this site.
